Instructions for Authors-The Rules of Publication


Original articles submitted to the UMAY A Journal of Beliefs & and Culture Studies for evaluation must include a Turkish (Abstract) and English (Abstract) summary of at least 100 and no more than 150 words, 3-5 Turkish (Keywords) and English (Keywords), and Turkish and English titles.

Abstracts (Turkish-English), including keywords, should be indented 1 cm from both the left and right margins.

References in articles must comply with APA 7. See APA 7.

A list of sources used in the study is provided under the heading “References” at the end of the text. This bibliography, which lists the references used in the study, is prepared alphabetically according to the author's last name.

Writings should not include author information, headers, footers, or page numbers. Writings must be completely anonymous. 

For spelling and punctuation, the TDK's spelling and punctuation guide is used as a basis, except for differences related to the content of the text.

For works using a special font not available in Microsoft Word, the font file must be added to the system along with the article.

The page layout of articles to be added to the system must be prepared by the author in accordance with the following values:

                Paper Size: A4 Portrait (Landscape pages should not be used in articles)

Margins: Standard

                Font: Times New Roman

               Font Size: 11 for the title, 11 for the text, 10 for the abstract, and 9 for footnotes

                Paragraph Spacing: 6 pt before – 0 pt after

                Paragraph Indentation: Body text First Line 1.25 cm, footnotes Hanging 0.25 cm

                Line Spacing: Body text 1.15, footnotes single
