Abstract
Sosyal yaşantı içerisinde geniş yer tutan konular vardır. Sosyal medya fenomenliği de bu konular arasında bulunmaktadır. Günümüzde çok sayıda insanın sosyal medya fenomenliğine merak saldığı bilinmektedir. Söz konusu insanlar da hem internet ortamında tanınırlık elde etmekte hem de ekonomik kazanç sağlamaktadırlar. Sosyal medya fenomenleriyle ilgili olumsuz durum ve olayların gerek yazılı basına gerekse sosyal medyaya yansımalarını zaman zaman görmek mümkündür. Bu olumsuz durum ve olaylar toplum üzerinde olumsuz bir izlenim oluşturmakta, toplumun memnuniyetini azaltmakta ve güvenini zedelemektedir. Bu bilgiler ışığında bir kitap incelemesi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu bağlamda incelenen kitap, Sosyal Medya Fenomenliğinden Türkiye Gündemine: Dilan-Engin Polat Örneği başlıklı kitaptır. Kitap, sosyal bilimler özellikle de basın çalışmaları literatürüne değerli bilgiler aktarılmasına yardımcıdır. Bunun haricinde ise kitapta değinilen konu, son zamanlarda basın dünyasında büyük yankı yapmıştır. Durum böyle olunca da kitabın konusunun sosyal açıdan büyük önem taşıdığı zihinlerde canlanmıştır. Bu vesileyle söz konusu kitabın, ilgili okuyucuları üzerinde önemli bir merak oluşturması kuvvetle muhtemeldir.

Abstract
There are subjects that have a wide place in social life. Social media phenomenon is among these topics. Today, it is known that many people are interested in social media phenomenon. The people in question both gain recognition in the internet environment and provide economic gain. From time to time, it is possible to see the reflections of negative situations and events related to social media phenomena on both the written press and social media. These negative situations and events create a negative impression on the society, reduce the satisfaction of the society and damage its trust. In the light of this information, a book review was carried out. The book reviewed in this context is titled From Social Media Phenomenon to Türkiye’s Agenda: The Case of Dilan-Engin Polat. The book helps to transfer valuable information to the literature of social sciences, especially press studies. Apart from this, the subject mentioned in the book has recently made a great echo in the press world. In such a situation, it has come to mind that the subject of the book is of great social importance. On this occasion, it is highly likely that the book in question will create a significant curiosity on the relevant readers.
