Abstract
Ihlamur Ağacı Vüsat O. Bener tarafından yazılmış dramatik yapıda bir tiyatro eseridir. V. Bener eserinde aile ilişkilerini anlatırken Ihlamur ağacını da oyunun temel ögesi olarak kurgulamıştır. Ihlamur ağacı birçok farklı kültürlerde barışın, neşenin, yaşamın, ölümün ve ailenin simgesi olarak görülmektedir. Ihlamur ağacı aynı zamanda hoş kokulu, uzun ömürlü bir ağaçtır. Avrupa’da “mahkeme ağacı” olarak da bilinmektedir. Yazar oyunun boyunca aile arasında sanki bir mahkeme kurulmuşçasına iç hesaplaşmalarını dile getirir. Eserde ıhlamur ağacı mahkemeyi temsil eden sembolik bir göstergedir. Bir kült varlık olan Ihlamur ağacına eserde adeta canlı olmayan bir ana karakterdir. Her şey Ihlamur ağacının etrafında, gölgesinde şekillenir. Yazar ayrıca eserinin sahnelenirken Franz Schubert’in “Der Lindenbaum / “Ihlamur Ağacı” (Bener, 2003:8). bestesinin Nana Mouskouri yorumunun çalınması ister. Çalışmamızda amacımız ağaç kültüne ait bir gösterge olan “Ihlamur Ağacının” eserde hangi şekilde ne amaçla kullanıldığı ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmamızda kült bir gösterge olan ıhlamur ağacının eserde işleniş, eserin metin temelli kurgulanma şekli yapısalcı yöntemle çözümlenecektir.

Abstract
The Linden Tree is a dramatic play written by Vüsat Bener. In his work, V. Bener uses the linden tree as a central element of the play while depicting family relationships. The linden tree is seen as a symbol of peace, joy, life, death, family in many different cultures. It is also a fragrant, long-lived tree. In Europe, it is also known as the "court tree." Throughout the play, the author portrays the internal conflicts within the family, as if a court has been established. In the play, the linden tree is a symbolic representation of the court. The linden tree, a cult object, is virtually a non-living main character in it. Everything unfolds around the linden tree anm its shadow. The author also requests that Nana Mouskouri's interpretation of Franz Schubert's "Der Lindenbaum / "The Linden Tree" be played during the performance of his work. Our aim in this study is to reveal how and for what purpose the "Linden Tree," a signifier of tree cult, is used in the work. The way the linden tree, a cult signifier, is used in the work the way the work is constructed based on the text will be analysed using a structuralist method.
